Today, we bring you live coverage from the Fourth Tenasas K’arci marking the liberation of the Chiss Ascendancy from the New Republic where Grand Syndic Cong`liddo Nollaig is about to address the Ascendancy. We do have some breaking news for you before we get to the speech. Reports have emerged that have now been confirmed that the Chiss Ascendancy met with Galactic Empire representatives on Day 246 to officially receive full faction control. Our reporter, Jorl’un Vashti, is on the ground in front of the Government House on Csilla. Jorl’un, what can you tell us about these reports?
Jorl’un Vashti (CPIN Local! Reporter): Thank you, Glo’tharius. Grand Syndic Gliddon finalized negotiations with the Empire, and has received full faction control of the Ascendancy as it be fulfilling the Csilla Agreement, now ready to achieve full government status. Details of the Treaty of Sovereign Ascendancy were just released but it looks as though the close bond with the Ascendancy and the Empire will continue. Many here are expecting the Grand Syndic to officially announce government status today.
Glo’tharius Smith: Amazing developments. What is the situation like now on the ground in front of the Government House?
Jorl’un Vashti: The atmosphere here is simply electric as Chiss citizens and dignitaries from the Galactic Empire and Black Sun gather to witness this historic moment. Citizens are in a festive mood and there are many people weeping tears of joy. Incredible and unforgettable scenes. Let me bring in esteemed Chiss Historian Dral’ni Usca, to provide some context. Dral’ni, what can you tell us about this event?
Dral’ni Usca (Chiss Historian): Jorl’un, the Tenasas K’arci is a deeply significant event for the Chiss, commemorating our liberation. I’ve heard the same reports as you have Jorl’un so this years event is particularly important. To become an official government is an incredible achievement. It has been a difficult journey for the Chiss people, many thought we would never succeed, but here we are.
Glo’tharius Smith: Apologies, Dral’ni I’m being told the Grand Syndic has made his way to the podium and is about to deliver his speech, lets take you live to the address now.
Cong`liddo Nollaig (Grand Syndic): Chiss citizens and honored guests, today we stand on the threshold of a new era for the Chiss Ascendancy. Four years ago, our worlds were liberated from the grip of the New Republic aliens. Today, we celebrate not only that victory but also the return of full sovereignty to our people.
Under the oppressive rule of the New Republic, our culture was suppressed and our people suffered. The Chiss were subjugated, stifled by terror and our potential muted. Those dark days are behind us because Emperor Seele and the Galactic Empire gave us an opportunity. I say to Emperor Seele, today we are making good on the opportunity given to us.
With thanks to Emperor Meridian, today I announce the signing of the Treaty of Sovereign Ascendancy formalizing relations between the Galactic Empire and Chiss Ascendancy, fulfilling the transfer of full sovereignty to the Chiss Ascendancy.
The Chiss people now emerge into the galaxy as a fully independent government, masters of our own house.
Since our liberation and establishment of the Seventh Ascendancy, the Chiss have rebuilt our once destitute worlds and took on the hard work after years of occupation. We will continue to rediscover our cultural heritage, find out who we are as a people and restore pride in our Chiss identity. Now, we govern ourselves, our destiny is in our hands, our government is a Chiss government.
I would like to thank Grand Syndic Thresk who began the reconstruction of our beleaguered home worlds and embarked on a remilitarization of our Defense Force. Also, I like to thank Grand Syndic Remus Soran, his negotiations in the Treaty of Uoti secured our people a line of economic development which has brought prosperity to the Chiss. It is my privilege as Grand Syndic to stand on the shoulders of these leaders to take our people to official government status.
As we take our place in the galaxy, we do not stand alone. With us today from the Galactic Empire is Grand Vizier Marcus Elensar, who has embodied the Empire-Ascendancy friendship, a steadfast ally that has been providing assistance to our Gekto colonization efforts. Also, joining us is Black Sun Vigo Thrall Lothbrook whose support of our communications network has been critical and has provided us technology to build war droids to protect our sovereignty.
Thank you both for taking the time in travelling from Lesser Space to visit the Chiss people on this historic occasion. Welcome to our home as the first guests of the new Chiss government.
As the Chiss take this next step after years of hard toil, firm and strong, we cannot waver. The blood thirsty remnants of our old New Republic nemesis remain out there, fragmented but plotting their revenge. We while remain dedicated to our policy of non-inference in the affairs of Lesser Space we cannot hold on to innocent naiveite that the terrorists are not frothing to oppress us once more. We know the horrors they sow, and we vow today, never again.
The Chiss may not be interested in the affairs of Lesser Space, but powerful blood thirsty Lesser Space aliens are obsessed with conquest, and we cannot survive alone. The Humans of the Galactic Empire and Chiss of the Ascendancy share an ancestral lineage, setting us apart from other aliens. This shared heritage forms a never ending bond between our civilizations. Long may it last.
The Ascendancy needs to continue to build ties with friendly governments of Lesser Space that form a bulwark of peace and security. Therefore, in the coming days we will be approaching the Imperial Union to seek stronger bonds with those governments to ensure Chiss Space remains Chiss, free from outside interference and control. We will not be the aggressors, but we will defend ourselves and need friends to do it.
As we move forward, let us remember the lessons of our past, cherish the friendships we have forged today, and look to a future where the Chiss Ascendancy stands strong, united, and sovereign.

It formally recognizes the sovereignty of the Chiss Ascendancy over Chiss Space while acknowledging the Galactic Empire as the governing authority of the galaxy.
Alys’ne Qel: The Grand Syndic has long indicated that the Chiss have no ambitions outside Chiss Space. The treaty itself underlines the commitment of the Galactic Empire to support the Chiss Ascendancy with political, financial, and material assistance, including the stationing of a dedicated Sector Fleet to help protect Chiss sovereignty. This military support is crucial for our security, especially the ongoing threats we are facing. Chiss are inherently a peaceful people that want to be left alone, so this goes to your point about attempting to strike a political balance Dral’ni.
Dral’ni Usca: Absolutely, we cannot take risks with our security during such a volatile period in Lesser Space. Alys’ne, one thing we have not touched on yet is how the agreement restructures the Treaty of Uoti, facilitating long term economic stability while preserving the Ascendancy’s autonomy.
Alys’ne Qel: Indeed, the Treaty reaffirms our independence but also strengthens our economic relationship with the Galactic Empire, providing the Ascendancy long term financial certainty while setting a clear path forward for future development.
Jorl’un Vashti: I’d like to take discussion back to the Grand Syndic’s speech he where spoke to the importance of our heritage and the benefits of our alliance with the Galactic Empire. What specific improvements can we expect for the Ascendancy from these developments?
Dral’ni Usca: The Grand Syndic highlighted how these agreements ensure the preservation of our cultural heritage, building on what we have accomplished so far. The Grand Syndic has allowed for integrating exceptional humans into our society which puts us at a bit of a demographic struggle as we try to grow, but I think the treaty will allow us to grow appropriately without risking a demographic time bomb of becoming a minority in our own lands.
Alys’ne Qel: For me, I’m still looking at how the economic and military support from the Galactic Empire will enhance our infrastructure and defense capabilities. The stationing of a dedicated Sector Fleet and the establishment of robust defensive infrastructure will ensure that our sovereignty is well-protected. The economic collaboration, especially the restructuring of the Treaty of Uoti, will foster prosperity and stability, providing a solid foundation for our future growth. We need to protect our culture, but we need to protect our homelands first. I think that is achieved.
