“Not if the Syndicure declares your decisions improper”
The Syndicure is the executive body in charge with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Ascendancy. Made up of the Grand Syndic and advisors known as Syndics (see Chiss Cabinet) they are individually and collectively responsible for ensuring the growth, prosperity and security of the Chiss Ascendancy.
In some rare instances, special advisors may be appointed to oversee temporary assignments who may not normally be involved with the Syndicure on an everyday level. Each Syndic is responsible for an aspect of the Ascendancy that best fits their skillset, as determined by the Grand Syndic and in many cases can overlap into specific divisions to ensure the overall operation of the Ascendancy runs smoothly.
Members of the Syndicure do not belong to any House, ensuring impartiality when dealing with the Council of Families and the Chiss Community. One member from the Syndicure is appointed to act as the second-in-command of the Ascendancy in the event of something happening to the Grand Syndic.
A Syndic may resign from his post, in writing to the Grand Syndic. They may not hold the position of Aristocra and do not have any oversight in the activities of the Chiss Community, however they may propose legislation to the Council of Families that can help to support the Aristocra in their oversight of the Chiss Community.
