The Ascendancy has mining and production assets across its colonial holdings in Chiss and Lesser space. CMIC is the bureau responsible for coordinating these assets and operations within Colonial Affairs.
Performing CMIC duties is one of the activities officers from the CDF may be tasked with.
CMIC works in partnership with other Chiss citizens looking to make use of Ascendancy production capacity, with outside companies from Lesser space, or to produce goods for the Ascendancy to build the military or sell on the galactic market.
Mining operations span across multiple worlds and are an essential activity.
