Grand Syndic Declares End of Foreign Labour

Glo’tharius Smith (Anchor):
Good evening. I’m Glo’tharius Smith, and this is CPIN Live!

Tonight, we bring you breaking news from Csilla, where the Grand Syndic’s Office has announced a sweeping labour reform that will reshape the workforce across the Ascendancy. Effective immediately, only Chiss citizens may work within Chiss-controlled space. All non-Chiss workers not enrolled in the citizenship trials have been dismissed from their posts.

The only exception: the Gekto Colony, which will remain open to approved non-Chiss workers under existing agreements. Everywhere else, the order is clear, Chiss labour for Chiss space.

The government has advised CPIN that this marks the completion of a year long process to replace non-Chiss workers with Chiss workers in all sectors, from shipyards and mines to agriculture and defence industries. Enforcement begins immediately, and any violations will be met with arrest.

Earlier today, the Grand Syndic of the Ascendancy addressed Chiss Warriors and Houses gathered for Tenasas K’arci on Csilla.

Grand Syndic Gliddon:
Chiss!

Today we close our ranks. Today we reclaim what is ours. Today we decide who builds our future.

For years, the hands that laboured in our space were not our own. For years, we allowed outsiders to profit from our soil, our stars, our sweat. Those days are over.

From this hour, every bolt turned in our shipyards will be turned by Chiss hands. Every harvest from our fields will be gathered by Chiss hands. Every station, every outpost, every dock will be touched by Chiss hands!

Work in Chiss space is not a gift. It is an honor. An honor earned by loyalty. By discipline. By blood.

To those aliens who rise above the fray, who are not of us but wish to join us, the path is open, the citizenship trials. Pass them, and you may stand among us as one of us. Fail them, and you will depart.

To those who defy this order, know this… You will be found. You will be removed. You will never work in our space again.

We are not shutting our gates, we are raising our standards. The Chiss Ascendancy and its people stand united. Strong. Proud. Unbreakable.

We have taken back our fleets. We have taken back our borders. And now we take back our work. For the Ascendancy! For victory eternal!

Glo’tharius Smith:
Joining me now is Commander Thry’ven Norru spokesperson from the Grand Syndic Office. Commander, this policy has been in preparation for some time. Can you walk us through the process?

Cmdr. Thry’ven Norru:
Certainly, Glo. This was not sudden. For several cycles, we’ve been identifying critical sectors, retraining Chiss workers, and phasing out foreign labor. Shipyards, transit hubs, agricultural centers, every major facility has been transitioned. The only location still open to non-Chiss is the Gekto Colony, and even there, only under strict agreements.

Glo’tharius Smith:
And for those found violating the new law?

Cmdr. Thry’ven Norru:
They will be arrested immediately. Unauthorized employment is now a breach of sovereignty. Depending on the case, they will be repatriated or detained long-term. Those who resist will be terminated. Enforcement patrols begin tonight across Chiss Space.

Glo’tharius Smith:
Some off-world critics call this discriminatory. Your response?

Cmdr. Thry’ven Norru:
It’s preservation, not discrimination. Our people endured foreign rule before and we will not risk becoming dependent on outsiders again. The Ascendancy will thrive on Chiss labor, Chiss loyalty, and Chiss skill.

Glo’tharius Smith:
And so, as the stars over Csilla shine tonight, a new chapter begins for the Chiss Ascendancy. Supporters call it preservation. Critics call it exclusion. History will decide what it truly is. But tonight, in every factory, every dock, every deck plate, it is Chiss hands that guide the work.

Up next. MovieNite Presents Pulp Non-Fiction. For CPIN Live!, I’m Glo’tharius Smith. Good night.
