“Stalwart Houses Unite: Purso and Csohn Launch Joint Anti-Piracy Offensive in Chiss Space”

The reporter stands on the bridge of the light cruiser, Repplic Defender, looking uncomfortable in her flight suit and struggling to stay balanced while floating in z-gravity- “Hello and welcome everyone, I am Prin’baitu’ruri reporting from a joint combat operation made up of the Phalanxes of House Purso and House Csohn, as they ramp up anti-piracy operations outside of our home system. Before we begin I would like to ask Captain Sovemun to explain to our viewers about the lack of gravity and these space suits we and the crew are wearing?” “Of course,” he says. “We of House Purso view gravity as a luxury that can be taken away at any moment in the heat of battle. Due to this we tend to operate without gravity on our vessels excluding certain areas. As for these suits they are a safety precaution in the event a hole is blasted in the hull or if we lose power to life support.” Inbaitur nods taking in the information “A truly fascinating take on these topics.”

Leaning on an abnormally tall Purso crewman who is helping Inbaitur correct her balance, she is ready to begin the interview proper.

“Today I have here Captain Purso’vemu’nuruodo, commanding the cruiser, Repplic Defender and House Purso Patriarch, Purso’dal’nuruodo. On another secure line, the Matriarch of House Csohn, Mechna Yerikov, commanding the frigate, The Ykn Owto. Can you tell us a little about this current operation you’re conducting, in this region of Chiss Space?”

Sodaln bows his head- “Greetings and happily. Ongoing operations within Csilla Space have forced criminal agents into the darker regions of space. Several modest gangs have established small bases within known Asteroid Fields. Currently we are utilizing Stealth and Herding tactics, to lower the number of pirates in this area. As we speak, our vessel is running silent and awaiting a wing of House Csohn fighters, who are herding a group of pirates toward us. As you can see from the Scanners, we have been quite successful. We are especially pleased to have found and removed an established Slavery operation.”

“We often hear of Houses undertaking works for the Chiss Ascendancy, is this inter-House co-operation commonplace?”

“For those of us who serve the Chiss Ascendancy, yes. We work alongside each other on a variety of contracts. Those Houses who serve elsewhere seldom get the chance and tend to contribute independently. House Csohn and ourselves, took advantage of the Tenasas Karci to focus on our Western Space.“

“Very interesting indeed, now how long do you two believe this operation will last?”

Sodaln gestures to a sensor console read-out- “It is unclear at this time as it seems when we uproot one group another two is uncovered. But hopefully with the progress our operation has made today, we do not expect to be here for much longer.”

Switching link to Mechna Yerikov, we see her turning briefly from the Comms Link. “Cruiser sighted with escort, it is as you suggested, a second gang was effecting repairs here. This shouldn’t take us long.”

Some manoeuvre sends Prin’baitu’ruri into the stalwart officer, as new orders are actioned. “Cruiser! I had no idea the Pirates were so well equipped. Will this present any dangers to your ships?

Sodaln would correct himself with the small maneuvering thrusters on his suit, shaking his head while listening to the booming voice of Captain Sovemun giving his orders. The lights noticeably dimming as the power is shunted to more important systems, as the ship comes to life- “Not in the slightest, going off of the quality of the vessels we have encountered so far today and the firepower we have mustered. This battle should be a fairly quick and simple one at that.”

“It is as Sodaln states. These are mostly Smugglers and Slave runners. Seldom as well equipped as the Pirate Gangs.” The camera switches back to our Host.

The battle begins and Sodaln turns to face the reporter, “This should be the last of the major resistance in this region, from here we will head to another sector in the Northwest. I strongly suggest you and your cameraman head deeper into the ship for your safety.” He gestures to the bulkhead.

“And there you have it, two stalwart Houses and their crews taking action and bringing justice to those who have violated our borders. For your in the field news, this has been Prin’baitu’ruri signing off.”
