Tonight, we bring you a full feature report on the expanding role of the Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet, from its quiet deployment into the Hydian Expanse blockade, to its latest pivot alongside Imperial Union allies in the escalating conflict over Arvala, the War of Liberation against aligned New New Republic forces continues.

Several weeks ago, elements of the CEDF departed Chiss Space without announcement, navigating a winding route through Lesser Space before arriving in the Khuiumin system. There, they joined a coordinated blockade organized by the Hydian Expanse, an alliance of neutral-aligned governments led in part by the Confederacy of Independent Systems, under the leadership of Truse’vala Ilone, a Chiss and Aristocra of House Ilone.

The objective was clear. Support a Chiss leader abroad, and deny pirate forces the ability to establish a permanent stronghold.

The operation succeeded.

Shadow Dominion-aligned elements, including those supported by the Blue Star Dominion, failed to consolidate control and were smashed under the combined weight of power organized by the CIS. Internal fractures spread across rebel-aligned networks, some even sided with BSD. Ultimatley, the system remained held under Hydian authority.

But the story of the CEDF did not end there.

Following the stabilization of Khuiumin, CEDF elements alongside Imperial Union forces pivoted toward the Arvala system, where rebel forces have entrenched themselves.

What has followed is not a single battle, but a campaign. A campaign of pressure. A campaign of area denial. A campaign designed not only to break fleets, but to free the Alien minds of the New New Republic infection.

To walk us through this development, we’re joined again by Senior Defense Correspondent Varo’niccu’nalor. Oniccun, how has the situation evolved?

Varo’niccu’nalor:
What we’re seeing is a natural progression. The Hydian operation secured and prevented pirate consolidation. The Shadow Dominion split as did the rebel aligned terrorists. The prevailing rumour was they had no intention of holding the blockade against the Blue Star Dominion. It should also be said, rebels hid behind the Hydian Expanse, and begged for protection against Havoc Squad.

The Arvala operation is different, this is about confronting entrenched rebel resistance in their system. The rebels are no longer maneuvering freely. They’re scared. They’re holding position, hiding their garrisons, and reluctant to give battle. They have begged the Imperial Union to leave on multiple occasions. That tells you everything about their current state, it is clear the rebel Aliens are hiding behind Jawas in A-wings.

And how are the Ascendancy and its Imperial Union allies responding?

Varo’niccu’nalor:
With layered pressure. Interdiction. Coordinated strikes have limited their in system mobility. Thus far Havoc Squad has struck deep into the heart of the system. The CEDF while modest, has punched above its weight class in support of these operations and what we’re now seeing is the addition of educational awareness operations. Hannoihan’na known for her educational broadcasts, has been transmitting directly to rebel forces operating in the Arvala theatre.

Reports from the region suggest the education campaign is leading to declining morale among rebel-aligned crews, particularly without the Jawas fighting for them. Isolation, and sustained pressure appear to be taking their toll. Unconfirmed, but there are persistent rumors which indicate that even the Jawas, long associated with salvage operations, are even questioning the meaning of salvage, an unusual development indeed.

Varo’niccu’nalor:
That is significant. Even small behavioral changes can be a signal of broader social collapse. Wars are not lost all at once, they unravel. Its likely the Jawas are beginning to see they are being used by the Alien Rebels. The might of the Imperial Union and exploitation of the New New Republic terrorists may squeeze them into waking up from their oppression.
